Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) launched their 2019 Tips From Former Smokers (Tips) campaign in April 2019, marking the eight year of the campaign. The campaign aims to build awareness of the immediate health damage caused by smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke. It encourages smokers to quit and provides information on free help available to them. The Tips campaign profiles real people who are living with serious long-term health effects from smoking and secondhand smoke.

CDC’s Tips online campaign provides a variety of free tools and resources which you can use to promote the campaign’s messages; to raise awareness of the detrimental effects of smoking and secondhand smoke, encourage current smokers to quit, and encourage nonsmokers to protect themselves and their families from secondhand smoke.
