The CDC is recruiting participants to be featured in future Tips From Former Smokers® (Tips®) campaigns. For ten years, the Tips campaign has featured real stories of people negatively impacted by smoking or secondhand smoke exposure. Their stories inspired more than 16.4 million people to try to quit smoking and over one million people have successfully quit smoking.

CDC is currently conducting a national search to identify people who are willing to share their compelling stories.

CDC is specifically seeking:

    1. People who have quit smoking after developing a serious smoking-related disease
    2. A family member or loved one who regularly cares for someone suffering from a serious smoking-related disease

CDC will feature BOTH the caregiver and the person who previously smoked in order to tell the story of how smoking has impacted their lives.

Please visit the CDC Tips Recruitment page to learn more about campaign recruitment and how to participate. Recruitment will close on Friday, May 14, 2021. We encourage you to share the following recruitment flyers below amongst your networks.
