- The EPA and FDA/ETP recently released a fact sheet on how to safely dispose of e-cigarettes.
- A recent article released by the CDC showed that among US adults who use commercial tobacco products, the prevalence of menthol cigarette use increased from 22.9% in 1999–2002 to 35.9% in 2015–2018.
- A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has unanimously upheld graphic health warnings on cigarette packs and advertising required under a 2020 FDA rule, reversing a ruling by a lower court judge that blocked the warnings.
- According to a recent article from the CDC, tobacco cessation treatment coverage gaps and treatment access barriers for Medicaid enrollees remain in many states.
