The Comprehensive Cancer Control (CCC) National Partners, in partnership with different CCC programs, have compiled a resource guide to support the phases of policy, systems and environmental (PSE) change work. The Resource Guide goes through the PSE framework, implementation and sustainability.
The resource guide is a roadmap to implementation of the PSE model, beginning with background knowledge on how the model came to be and ending with sustainability. At the end of the guide, there is a section on best practices and helpful worksheets. The implementation process of the PSE model includes building a PSE task force, creating a policy agenda, engaging stakeholders, facilitating PSE change and sustaining momentum for PSE change. Each section of the resource guide provides definitions, provides examples and has a link to a webinar on the section topic.
The Resource Guide’s Key Topics Include:
- The development of the policy, systems and environmental (PSE) change model
- The theory behind the PSE change model
- Steps to developing a strong PSE task force
- How to create a policy agenda for implementation
- Example stakeholder analyses for stakeholder engagement
- Tips for maintaining PSE task force engagement
